Tabor Trio is a Portland-based group featuring enjoyable, evocative and enriching light classical music. Our styles range from lively and spirited to soulful or soothing with works by Mozart, Schumann, Bruch and Piazolla, among many others.
Deborah Shuster, violist, studied at the Peabody Conservatory as an undergraduate and received her M.Mus. degree from the University of Colorado. She currently plays viola and cello in chamber ensembles in Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area
Gayle Armstrong is a classical pianist and teacher in Portland. After receiving a M.M. in Piano Performance from Claremont Graduate University and a M.A. in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oregon, she has taught piano students at the Portland Conservatory of Music, the Eliason School of Music and Tualatin Valley Academy.
Clarinetist Theresa Schumacher, a Portland area native, is a member of the Portland Opera Orchestra and has performed with many other orchestras throughout Oregon and Washington. She earned her degree from the University of Southern California School of Music, studying with Mitchell Lurie and David Shifrin, who is well known as the Artistic Director of Chamber Music Northwest.
